NYSDEC Commissioner Joseph Martens has announced the State’s intention
of conducting a review of the health impacts of high volume hydrofracking.
This is not what was overwhelmingly requested by 250 medical
professionals, the public, and environmental groups who called for a
comprehensive, independent Health Impact Assessment. CWCWC
rejects the State’s decision to conduct an inadequate review and
requests that the Governor conduct a full-fledged HIA
